About

Mission – It is the mission of Proverbs 9:9 ministries to create a community where believers can walk together, and encourage and strengthen one another. Where seekers can find a place to get open and honest answers to difficult questions; and where those of other faith traditions (or none at all) can come to explore Christianity and develop a greater understanding. Where all can walk away with a deeper appreciation of the love and mercy offered exclusively through Jesus Christ, and hopefully find a deeper and fuller relationship with Him.

Vision – To create a platform that provides sound teaching and the resources to bring all people into Christ’s grace and salvation through a firm understanding, faith, and belief in Him and to create a cross-cultural dialogue to foster positive relationships with people of all world views, characterized by mutual respect.

Meet the Author – My name is Mike Gilbert. I am a licensed and ordained pastor through the National Association of Christian Ministers and a member-in-good-standing with the American Association of Christian Counselors. I have a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University and I am a non-denominational charismatic (that means I try to avoid division based on human doctrines in favor of unity rooted in scripture alone, and that I believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are at work in the body of believers today – if we have the faith, courage and humility to claim them). I have served in ministry in one form or another for more than 10 years now.

I am a Marine, having proudly served during the first Gulf War, a father, husband and an aspiring author.
